My writing style?

The best stories are the ones you read and lose track of time. It isn’t always fiction. Some technical write ups can be presented in such elegant manner, twirling you in swirls in the scientist’s mind. There’s always this feeling that accompanies finishing such readings. I sometimes do not want to read anything else. For example, after reading Steven Erikson and Brandon Sanderson’s works. I find it hard to read any other novels.

My writing here has swayed between mild pondering, a public diary, a cryptic story and the occasional passionate plea/exposition. I keep weighing the advice on writing compelling stories or texts. Long form or short form. Ideas released one after the other, furthering your understanding of whatever concept you seek to discourse and flowering the mind of your reader.

I write in between activities, right before bed time or while trying to meet up with a deadline. The downside being, not much research. My writing currently stands as a platform for my brain’s content to be poured. An outlet for my frustration or a musing ground for a growing idea. Not to forget the occasional confusing texts I hope to turn into keys for a bigger story in future. Yes, while weird, they are written with intention, explaining something I’d rather not say in plain English. Most times, having more than one meaning. I love write ups like that, therefore I express them.

As with all things in life, I do think my writing would be adjusted. Get better. Presented properly. Till then, I abandon structure for consistency, and choose to learn on the move. How to present what I wish in a way that’s valuable to those who read them. Less diary. More thoughts and considerations. Better citings.

I’m writing this because I keep wondering if I should delete yesterday’s entry. But it’s a bookmark for me. A important turning point, though unduly public. Something for my future self to cringe then smile at.
